The Hooman’s eyebrows are so well manicured they are hypnotic. The Hooman will show you how to succeed at life. The website is luscious to look at with all of the blue layering. Visual eyecandy is part of the key to success.
New IE6 PNG Fix
While we still have to deal with the IE6 PNG problems, there is a new fix for tooltips at StylizedWeb
Pushup the Web
Help get rid of old outdated browsers such as Internet Explorer 6 (ugh). Most current IE6 users won’t upgrade because they simply don’t know how. Others are stuck in corporate wasteland with locked machines where upgrading is impossible.
Pushup is an effort to push the web forward by helping users update their outdated browsers. Give your users a better web experience today by installing Pushup on your domain!
Cuil
What’s Nice
Pronounced Cool, Cuil is a new search engine started up by former Googlers. Their goal is to compete with Google, Microsoft and Yahoo, and to do it with a better design. The search results don’t feel as spartan as Google’s with a friendlier 2 or 3 colum layout that reads more like a news site or blog than search results.
Subversion for designers
Version control is not only important for your code, but it is important for your designs. How many designers have to attach version numbers to their Photoshop or Illustrator files? Today there are hosted solutions so you do not have to go to the trouble of setting up your own server. Hosts such as Drteamhost even provide subversion as part of their hosting plan. Vitamin has a good post on how to usetup subversion and use it from a Web Designer’s perspective.
Ferrari GT Countdown

What’s Nice
The new Ferrari GT is not yet ready to be released, but the kind folks at Ferrari created a site to get folks charged up. Before you can see the car you can hear the sounds of the GT in various phases of driving. The only annoying part of the site is the numbering of the main menus. It reminds me of the tedious flash sites of the late 90s that did not bother with real navigation and either put up squares or other shapes you had to click on or numbers.
Addict-to-matic

What’s Nice
Search multiple sources from technorati to Google news to flickr and Youtube. Inhale the web in one shot for a subject. I searched for Giro D’Italia since the great Italian bike race is starting this week and got a great range of results from places to see live video to very comprehensive sites.
Jamie Oliver

What’s Nice
Jamie Oliver gives a fresh grown at home feel to his new website. The large background pic with the paper background match the rich grungy look of his TV show on the Food Network. I’m getting hungry just looking at the site.
